Lead BI Analyst
The Business Intelligence department is currently a lean, high performing, cross-functional team. We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance operational efficiency within one of our operational departments. As the Lead Business Intelligence Analyst specializing in healthcare revenue cycle management, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics to improve financial performance, streamline operations, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction. You will be the key business partner for senior leadership which requires heavy collaboration with stakeholders across the organization and a deep understanding of their data. You will need to function with all 4 pillars of analytics including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive. Additionally, you may have direct reports that require direction and leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on delivering actionable insights and driving continuous improvement.
• Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and execute data-driven strategies that optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish targets to measure success and track progress over time.
• Comprehend operation performance and provide quality insight to mitigate risk and achieve company goals/targets.
• Implement and enforce business logic controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of operational data.
• Evaluate and recommend BI tools and solutions that meet the unique needs of our healthcare organization.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders that tailors communication strategy based on stakeholder preference/need.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
• 7+ years of total expeirence, including 3-5 years of experience leading and driving projects to completion, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of analysts.
• Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build complex models, manipulate large datasets, and generate ad hoc reports efficiently to support decision making processes.
• Deep understanding of revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
• High level of business understanding; finance (P&L) experience preferred.
