Responsibilities:
Candidates should have a strong understanding of insurance regulations, including rate filing requirements and compliance procedures:
- Join forces with business and actuarial groups to construct, modify, and maintain rate, code of conduct, and form policies and regulations to submit to State Departments of Insurance.
- Accurately storing and keeping accessible records linked with the filings is key.
- Approval in all target states can be accomplished by effectively addressing objections to the filing.
- Offer support in the process of market conduct examinations, which includes providing assistance in responding to any inquiries that may be raised.
- Capable of creating policy forms, assessing state policies, and devising policy language for issuance and future submission.
- Coordinate with product development to launch cutting-edge protection plans.
- Inspect regulatory publications to recognize any ramifications for the submission of company filings and the design of innovative goods.
- Collaborate with departments to develop and implement effective filing procedures, guaranteeing streamlined record-keeping.
- An edge for candidates is having hands-on experience with the System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filing (SERFF).
