Responsible for managing all projects related to Pilots within the Crew Scheduling organization.
This job also partners with Manager of Pilot Contracts, Crew Scheduling Training, Crew Scheduling Operations team, Crew Compensation, and IT to propose value added projects and drive them to completion.What you ll do Builds a team of analysts and manages their time to provide Crew Scheduling with as many new tools, tool upgrades, web services, automations, and related to improve Crew Scheduling ability to support our Pilot crew membersParticipates in Pilot contract negotiations or provides data to support negotiations as neededCollaborates with IT providing business requirements for Flight Attendant projects and implementationAssists Crew Scheduling Training team in development and facilitation of training material, as neededLeads activity associated with the automation and implementation of the Pilot JCBADevelops presentations and various materials associated with crew projectsAbility to travel as neededAbility to work shifts, weekends and holidays as neededAll you ll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training5 years experience in a Crew Scheduling or Crew Resource environment Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceN/A Skills, Licenses & Certifications Knowledge of FOS SABREKnowledge of Pilot Collective Bargaining Agreement and other related documentsKnowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Demonstrated ability to lead based on the American Airlines leadership modelStrong customer service focus (internal and external)Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of various operational and administrative processes associated with crew scheduling and contractsKnowledge of airline applicationsKnowledge of quality management, program analysis skills and testing techniquesAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to be flexible and capable of adapting to constant changeAbility to prioritize tasks and handle tasks concurrently; ability to work in a stressful environmentAbility to speak with crew members regarding contractual and FAR assignmentsAbility to prepare and deliver written and verbal presentationsAbility to use reference materials and other resources to complete tasksAbility to effectively facilitate meetingsAbility to work and collaborate all levels of management and union groupsAbility to report to work on a regular and timely basis What you ll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:
