Senior Internal Auditor

We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:

• Develop and test audits of business functions and report findings to senior management to determine the level of compliance with servicing agreements, agency guidelines, or company policies.


• Perform audits related to operational compliance controls from planning to reporting.


• Supervise the documentation of processes through interviews, observation, inquiry, and process flows.


• Identify risks and key control activities and drive process improvement.


• Prepare written communications, including audit reports, correspondence, and memorandums, that document the scope, procedures performed, findings, and conclusions.


• Work closely with the external auditors to align on scope, timing, reliance approach and delivery of workpapers.


• Manage project assignments and timelines to ensure the timely and effective completion of assigned projects.


• Interacts with executive and senior levels of management throughout Berkadia.


• Assume lead role to appropriately plan audits to identify opportunities to improve and enhance Berkadia's governance, controls, and risk environment.

We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have:

• Bachelor s degree required in a related field.


• CPA or CISA or advanced audit certification is encouraged.


• Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.


• Must have excellent writing and oral communication skills.


• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks.


• Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
