Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical fitness levels, medical history, and personal goals
  • Develop individualized exercise programs based on clients' specific needs and goals
  • Provide guidance and instruction on proper exercise techniques and safety precautions
  • Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to their exercise programs as needed
  • Educate clients on the benefits of exercise and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and physical therapists, to develop integrated treatment plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in exercise physiology, and incorporate best practices into client programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
  • Certification as an Exercise Physiologist from a recognized accrediting organization
  • Proven experience designing and implementing exercise programs for diverse populations
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to individual client needs and provide personalized guidance and support
  • Proficient in using exercise testing and monitoring equipment
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of medical conditions and how exercise can benefit individuals with specific conditions
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and research.
