Responsibilities:

At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Bakery Manager is accountable for overseeing the Bakery Department's effectiveness.

  • Oversee the day-to-day bakery manufacturing, baking, and presentation of products
  • Responsible for engaging, orienting, and enlightening new team members
  • Manage the bakery's product quality and consistency, inventory levels, and budgetary concerns
  • Evaluate the state and management of departments to assess their performance and determine deficient areas; construct better methods and policies
  • Upholding safety regulations, practicing proper food handling techniques, keeping high standards of sanitation, and maximizing productivity are essential for the company's success
  • Responsible for accurate cataloging, receipt, discharge, and protection
  • To stay on top of inventory turnover and increase revenue, retailers must implement effective strategies for rotating merchandise and constructing visually impactful displays
  • To maintain Sprouts' standards, I am responsible for executing and supervising operational activities such as departmental inventory management, pricing accuracy, in-stock balance, labor, and merchandising
  • Adhere to company standards when planning sales and maximizing gross profits
  • Feedback should be presented objectively and supportively, focusing on how the team member can improve rather than just criticizing their shortcomings

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have a minimum of two years of retail grocery experience and be aged 18 years or older to be considered for the position.
  • Possess the capability to work at irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to exhibit reliability and consistency.
  • Depicting an outgoing and hospitable behavior along with a favorable disposition and the dexterity to engage proficiently with our clientele.
  • A team-oriented mindset that includes the ability to give and receive directions can contribute to a successful workplace.
  • Skilled in answering phones and fulfilling personalized orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working space by conducting general housekeeping activities, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer in the department.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge in operating equipment such as knives, scales, and other tools and machinery required in the food processing industry.
  • To be suitable for this job, you must be able to stand for as long as 8 hours without taking a break lasting more than 3 hours. You must also be capable of raising a tray weighing up to 5 pounds to a height ranging from 7 to 64 inches above the ground, for as long as 10 hours. Furthermore, you should be able to carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds both vertically and horizontally for as much as 10 hours without mechanical assistance, for a distance as far as 36 feet.
  • Compliance with the safety, health, and Weights and Measures protocols and having a valid Food Handlers license are both critical components of working in the food industry.
