Job Overview
The Solutions Architect develops innovative solutions and technology strategy. They own the E2E solution design strategy across teams, and partner with other architects. The role makes recommendations for new procedures and overall architectural approach, partnering with senior level Architects. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situation or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises judgement in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups. Informal supervision of other's work assignments.
Main Responsibilities:

Work cross-functionally to understand the linkage between T-Mobile's business goals, business architectures, technology and security architectures - and strive to further T-Mobile's business goals via evolution of T-Mobile's architectures. Drive the evolution of retail security infrastructure, processes, technology, and services by influencing decision makers. Compile, deliver, and evangelize end-to-end technology and security roadmaps that guide the evolution of security infrastructure, products, and services by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines

Responsible for Forging powerful and effective working relationships with lines of business & technology partners, making sound decisions, successfully, making changes, initiating action and ultimately drive the evolution of security.
  • Present to leadership at all levels on current strategies and direction
  • Outgoing and builds strong work relationships with team members in a very matrixed organization
  • Proactive leader, helping to drive security maturity throughout the organization without being asked to work on things

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across multiple security domains to Influence stakeholders and ensure alignment with security strategy and architecture principles by driving collaboration across the enterprise's business & technology architecture functions, the inclusion of security strategy roadmaps into enterprise technology roadmaps, and the adoption of security reference architectures and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of more than one security domain
  • SME in at least one domain

Use advanced techniques like Kill Chain Analysis, Attack Framework, Threat Modeling & Intel, Risk Quantification data and others to create T-Mobile's Cybersecurity Strategy, as well as Strategies for critical cyber domains.
  • Create and continuously update our T-Mobile cybersecurity strategy, driving the prioritization of efforts and work
  • Create strategies for critical cybersecurity domains and sub-capabilities
  • Create and update policies to align to our strategy

Stay informed on emerging technology in the cybersecurity & industry, drive awareness among key partners, and inspire the drive for change improving T-Mobile's cybersecurity posture.
  • Security is always changing, so you must constantly be keeping up with current trends, attacks etc.
  • Attend occasional conferences to increase knowledge and network with peers

Mentor team members on information assurance and security best practices in area of expertise.
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Host training opportunities, brown bags, summits to help evangelize strategies and security best practices

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4-year degree in computer science or related discipline. Technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle) a plus

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 5 years relevant experience as a Security Architect in previous companies with a total of 7 years in Engineering or Architecture
  • Enterprise architecture experience working across multiple domains
  • Proven understanding and experience within large Enterprise security solutions and technologies
  • A solid understanding of more than one cybersecurity domains, such IAM, Data Security, etc.
  • Experience writing and driving creation and updates to security policy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Diagramming and ability to create executive content a plus

Additional Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines 'fully vaccinated' as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson. Washington Pay Range : $157,300.00 - $212,900.00The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
