Job Summary:
Gain first-hand experience leading a team in a Target Supply Chain Facility with our paid internship program. This hands-on, 40-hour-per-week training opportunity will help prepare you for a role in operations leadership.
This scheme is created to instruct individuals on how to become leaders in a supply chain establishment. You’ll work together with a mentor to gain in-depth insight into their effective leadership strategies while obtaining visibility into various business divisions and functions within the facility. You'll spend your time discovering how to solve problems, direct and inspire a team, perform real-time monitoring, and generate outcomes all while guaranteeing safety is the primary concern and maximum productivity is achieved to deliver products promptly to customers. During your internship, you'll have the chance to manage your mentor's work center, and we'll guide you and help you learn through the process. Your development is our priority, and to ensure you're fully supported, we'll be having continuous conversations with your mentor and manager. You can expect to receive comprehensive training to develop as a robust operations intern.

- Employing continuous improvement techniques such as Gemba, Fish Bone Analysis, and 5 Why's to foster a more efficient and high-quality operation that is devoid of defects
- Facilitating effective communication channels between the IT and Operation team to resolve any WMS-related system glitches while also conducting thorough testing of the same
- Encouraging team members to adopt a mindset of continuous improvement and nurturing their abilities to take on leadership roles is crucial in any organization
- Resolving any issues that team members may have and ironing out any obstacles that may crop up during the day-to-day running of operations is key to ensuring smooth operations and the attainment of company goals
- Conduct daily meetings for the operational team, where relevant site-specific and company information is shared.
- Attend and lead daily planning sessions with peers and leadership team
- Begin each shift by setting specific daily goals and creating a plan of action. This will help you stay focused and on track throughout your shift
- Summarized results show that the team was able to attain their goals for the day
- Monitor compliance with established safety, quality, and productivity standards through regular audits. Provide constructive feedback to team members and offer coaching on how to improve performance based on audit findings
- Walk through the building premises to identify, address, and report any potential safety hazards to ensure the highest level of safety for everyone present in the building
