We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving to lead our Mission Advancement team in securing significant contributions ($10,000+) from individuals, foundations, and corporations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for fostering relationships and a deep understanding of estate and tax laws .Your efforts will directly contribute to empowering individuals, families, and communities to thrive through our diverse range of programs and services.

What You'll Do:

Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate donors, providing personalized stewardship and engagement opportunities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including program directors and executive leadership, to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
Lead and motivate a team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Utilize data-driven approaches to track progress, analyze donor trends, and identify new opportunities for growth. ‍
Represent the YMCA at events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our donor base and raise awareness of our mission. ‍

About YOU:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred) or related work experience.
• 
  Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in major gifts fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant contributions.

Passion for estate and tax laws, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to donors and colleagues. ‍

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and inspire confidence in donors and team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency in fundraising software such as iWave, Raisers Edge, Foundation Search, and/or DonorSearch and Microsoft Office suite.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends as needed for donor events and scheduled meetings.
