Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medication in a prompt manner to meet customer needs.
• Accurately counting pills, labeling bottles, and appropriately packaging medication are all tasks involved in the preparation of prescription orders.
• Follow regulatory and legal requirements for medication dispensing and tracking.
• Uphold pharmacy industry standards and keep your work environment clean and tidy.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving problems, and supporting customers with prescription-related questions.
• Work closely with other pharmacy team members to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain regulatory compliance by following pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Attend updated training and career growth initiatives that enable pharmacists to elevate their knowledge and polish their skills.

Qualifications:

• To become eligible for this position, a high school diploma or its equivalent is a must-have; however, enrolling in a Pharmacy Technician program is considered an asset.
• It is vital to possess a Pharmacy Technician license or certification that conforms to state guidelines.
• Those who possess experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy are preferred candidates for this position.
• Aiming for precision in medication dispensing and record-keeping by paying close attention to details.
• Exceptional people and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• The ability to juggle several assignments simultaneously and successfully manage their priorities within a hectic work setting.
• Competence in computer systems and pharmacy software is a requisite skill for managing prescription processing in today's healthcare industry.
• A duty to keep patient information confidential and observe ethical guidelines.
• Required to be available to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
