Material Handling Clerk

The Material Handling Clerk is responsible for handling and coordinating all aspects of materials in a warehouse or distribution center. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials and supplies, as well as managing inventory and ensuring accuracy. The Material Handling Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations and supporting the company's overall success.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and supplies
• Ensure materials are stored and organized in an efficient and accessible manner
• Prepare and package materials for shipment, following proper labeling and documentation procedures
• Coordinate and assist with inventory management, including conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies
• Collaborate with other departments to fulfill material requests and ensure timely delivery
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and transactions
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other necessary equipment to move materials safely and efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory management systems
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
