Battery Algorithm Test Engineer Santa Clara Valley (Cupertino),California,United States Hardware BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering+ 3 years of relevant industry experience Experience in Battery Management Systems (Software/Firmware) Strong coding skills, preferably in Python Experienced in various test tools like battery testers (Maccor preferred), source meters, multi meters, etc. Excellent debugging skills to identify and resolve challenging problems within testing Strong analytical/problem solving skills, and ability to use statistical tools and techniques to support proposed solutions Proven ability to work independently under high pressure in a dynamic environment Description You will execute battery pack qualification tests to: Verify and validate Battery Management Algorithm Software Implement, review, analyze and report qualitative data from test results Flag and report anomalous qualification output and perform failure analysis to identify root-cause for deviation Reporting on critical metrics and supervising timely execution of tests Work with Algo and FW development engineers to understand user test cases Develop verification methods to detect battery abnormalities early in advance in new product introduction design process Education & Experience BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering+ 3 years of relevant industry experience Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
