HVAC Service Technician

We are looking for a new HVAC Service Tech. This position requiresa professional whoinstalls, repairs, and maintains various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for homes, offices, or businesses. They also advise customers on the best choice of HVAC systems and provide warranty and emergency services. They work to ensure the safety and comfort of the users of these systems

Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems
- Test HVAC systems for proper functioning
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to prevent future issues
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years in the HVAC field with experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment
• Politely interact with homeowners or building owners to understand their concerns, provide feedback and verify that HVAC malfunctions have been resolved upon completion of the visit
• Be able to work on a team and communicate well
• Be physically able to perform requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and company equipment
• Punctual and professional
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening

Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
- Knowledge of field service techniques and procedures
- Ability to weld and perform basic boiler operations
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience as an HVAC technician or in a related field is preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
