ManTech is seeking a Command Language Program Coordinator to support our growing Marine Corps programs at the Pentagon 

This position requires a TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance.

Overview: Foreign language proficiency is critical to mission performance for Marines around the world. Foreign language capabilities and skills contribute to successful Marine Air-Ground Task Force operations. The Command Language Program Coordinator (CLPC) supports their command language program and military staff as the subject matter expert in Marine Corps and Department of Defense policies on foreign language training, testing, and employment.

CLPCs provide advice to the commander, lead initiatives to improve language readiness across the Marine Corps, and provide capability and readiness reports to all levels of the chain of command and Headquarters Marine Corps. 

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to Marine Corps Foreign Language Program in its role for the Senior Language Authority for the Marine Corps.
  • Audit foreign language proficiency bonus and defense language proficiency test entries in the Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS) and coordinate corrections with Manpower and Reserve Affairs and the Defense Finance Accounting Service.
  • Respond to requests for correction to records and payments professionally and in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Manage funding requests to ensure accurate, timely submissions of required documentation for funding packages.
  • Attend Service, Department of Defense and Joint forums on behalf of the Marine Corps to advocate for service positions and find efficiencies between different stakeholders.
  • Develop rosters and reports of language capabilities in the Marine Corps as required by the Senior Language Authority and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel rosters and statuses in the Joint Command Language Program Database, and recommend system improvements to better meet the needs of the Fleet Marine Force.
  • Write and proofread briefings, information papers, decision papers, and policy documents in support of program and service objectives.

Required Skills / Experience :

  • Equivalent Experience or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to thrive in high intensity workplace and work well under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to use MS Office
  • Ability for two weeks travel per year (required).

Physical requirements :

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
