Database Technician

The Waldinger Corporation, a growing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is looking for a Database Technician! This role maintains, updates, and ensures the accuracy of the database used by VDC team during detailing processes. They will also ensure downstream processes are receiving the information in a usable manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with data collection and ensures data accuracy within the mechanical and sheet metal construction database. Implements changes in database operations and ensures data is readily available to end users minimizing downtime of databases and ensuring data provided is accurate.
• 
  Migrating existing data from legacy platforms including spreadsheets and text files. Making requested changes and testing output to ensure security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
  
• Works with all Construction Technologist to ensure downstream information and reports from Stratus are up to date, accurate, and easy to understand.
• 
  Works with estimating and management to make sure that cost and labor rates included in database are up to date with current price codes and labor rates from approved sources.
• 
  Assists with fabrication parts creation to be pulled from .itm database into VDC models. Helps create processes or workflows to make this process more efficient.
• 
  Follows policy and maintains a work environment free of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and coercion.
• 
  Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 
  General Knowledge of piping and sheet metal systems
• 
  Person should goal oriented and results focused
• 
  Technically proficient in Microsoft Excel
• 
  Capable of excelling under pressure
• 
  Database experience would be a plus
