Position Purpose:

Cashiers are responsible for accurately recording customer purchases, processing payments, and returning change in a professional and timely manner. They cater to customer inquiries with eagerness and ensure they provide satisfactory responses. They assess product features and provide knowledge on promotions to inform consumer decisions. They comply with company guidelines to eliminate the risk of loss.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct the necessary security checks, such as scanning barcodes and tags, verifying prices and quantities, and confirming the legitimacy of the item.
• It is essential to supervise and maintain the Self-Checkout section appropriately.
• Take the initiative to gain a deeper understanding of the product/project, with the aim of informing customers with precise details.
• Identify selling opportunities.
• Minimizing shrink is a critical aspect and should be taken seriously by following all policies and procedures.

As part of the company's effort to improve customer service, new responsibilities have been added to the Head Cashier job description. These duties are aimed at ensuring that customers receive a seamless checkout experience and that all customer inquiries and complaints are addressed promptly:

• Support cashiers and optimize their performance by helping with price checks.
• To proceed with sales transactions and markdowns for the mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental, approval is necessary.
• Provide the customer with contact information for the company's customer support team.
• Play an instrumental role in the development of other team members by sharing knowledge and expertise in front-end operations.
• Take part in the orientation and training of new Cashiers.
• Implement all the available means to guide and refine the abilities of other cash-handling professionals.
