You should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.If you are ready to take the next step in your career and join an organization that values teamwork, innovation, and compassion, we encourage you to apply for our Cardiac Cath Lab Technician position at MaineHealth.\n\nPerform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements, with precision and accuracy.\n\nMonitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or concerns during procedures.\n\nPrepare and maintain equipment and supplies for cardiac procedures, ensuring that everything is sterile and functioning properly.\n\nEducate patients and their families about the procedure, answer any questions, and provide emotional support throughout the process.\n\nCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.\n\nMonitor and record patient data, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.\n\nAdhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.\n\nAssist physicians and other healthcare professionals during procedures, anticipating their needs and providing necessary support.\n\nParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.\n\nAttend training and educational opportunities to stay current on advancements in cardiac care and technology.\n\nCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.\n\nMaintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
