We have raised over $350 million from top-tier investors, and partner with the largest health plans, employers, and government organizations to help their employees and members restore their health and live diabetes-free. 

Reporting to the Director of Growth, you will help the Member Marketing team deliver on ambitious marketing access and activation goals. You will work directly with our largest health plan customers to unlock marketing access (grow # of lives reachable and with permission to market directly) and to define and execute comprehensive marketing plans that address unique characteristics and opportunities within HP populations to maximize conversion. This role is a great fit for someone with deep experience in healthcare marketing who is a self-starter, strong relationship-builder, and has a passion for purpose-built organizations. Additionally, this role could evolve into a people-leadership role for the right candidate, although the focus will be on skills to engage directly with customers at the highest (VP / C-suite) levels.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the best of Virta’s growth marketing playbook to senior leadership and marketing teams within health plan clients, constantly advocating for increased reach and frequency, backed up by results and data

  • Manage the launch and integrated communications strategy for health plan accounts in order to effectively reach, educate, and motivate their members to apply to Virta

  • Apply both Virta and digital health marketing best practices across a mix of channels, including email and direct mail, member portals, EOB integration and other adjacent channels, referrals, and other initiatives to reach members where they are and increase awareness of and enrollment in Virta

  • Develop and deepen relationships with internal stakeholders to support the health plan book of business and member marketing needs

  • Serve as a customer advocate and find creative solutions to help both the customer and Virta teammates hit their enrollment KPIs for health plans.

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Develop and optimize our health plan marketing strategy and take over current campaign management for key accounts

  • Understand and influence our join commercial<>growth marketing strategy, including prioritization and execution of access conversations, custom vs. standard marketing playbooks, etc.

  • Identify novel or supplemental outreach opportunities for health plans to drive awareness, educate, and motivate eligible members to apply to Virta.

  • Integrate your Virta experience with career-to-date best practices, documenting and sharing in a way that helps other teammates scale-up their own results within other books of business 

Must-Haves

  • 10+ years of professional experience developing and managing integrated marketing communications plans and strategies (digital and traditional marketing)

  • Experience working directly with Health Plans clients on developing marketing strategies and driving engagement

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations or business (MBA a plus)

  • A strong understanding of the nuances of B2B2C marketing, ideally within healthcare

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and build relationships, while also applying skillful negotiation to get customers to ‘yes’ to secure reach, frequency, and messaging autonomy

  • Excellent problem-solving, internal/external project management, presentation, and analytical skills with good business acumen (quant/qual) 

  • Self-motivated and enjoy driving multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
