Payroll Manager
LHH is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist for a contract opportunity with a great company in Livermore, CA.
Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in processing payroll transactions, including wages, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments.
Provide supervision and guidance to payroll staff, fostering their professional development.
Effectively manage the payroll workload to meet operational needs.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency.
Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.
Maintain compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
Gather data from various payroll sources for analysis and reporting.
Prepare relevant reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Monitor the precise processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Conduct and review payroll account reconciliations.
Oversee the upkeep of current employee data systems.
Support internal and external audits related to payroll processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required;
Demonstrated track record in a payroll management or similar capacity;
Up-to-date familiarity with payroll protocols and a thorough grasp of multi-site payroll operations and tax regulations;
Proficiency in payroll software/HRIS (preference for Paycom) and MS Office, particularly Excel;
Strong attention to detail coupled with proficient math skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
Effective organizational and leadership proficiencies;
Previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
Compensation:
$50-55/hr.

Pay Details:
$50.00 to $55.00 per hour
